My Hope for Your Year

May you step out onto the road with a bounce in your step

And a grin you can’t wipe off.

May you pour your heart and soul into your journey

With a zest that is contagious.

May each move you make take you closer to who you are to become

And closer to Jesus.

May every setback steel your resolve to succeed

Not steal your joy.

May you realize adjusting your course is inevitable

Not the end of the world.

May you remember there will be highs and lows

And learn from both.

May you not have fear of foggy patches along the way

They only test your faith.

May you pause in green grass when needed

For the path will still be there when you are refreshed.

May you take the Hand that is offered

As two are better than one.

May you serve others along the way

And introduce them to your Friend.

Go ahead.

Build community, not competition.

Tear down walls that were never meant to exist.

Flood the world with kindness.

Have faith, hope, and love.

They will take you far.

Linking with Faith Along the Way!

  1. Hi Sarah! I am coming over from Linda’s.
I really liked the line about setbacks being a reason to steel myself, not get defeated. Well, I liked the whole thing really. Thank you for such a beautiful prayer to start the year with, and I hope all those wonderful thoughts will accompany on my way in 2015.
    Nice to meet you!

“May each move you make take you closer to who you are to become And closer to Jesus.
May every setback steel your resolve to succeed
    Not steal your joy.”….
So awesome! Thanks for sharing Sarah and Happy 2015 to you!
